Lea Boban

Lea Boban is a Croatian volleyball player, who plays as a Middle-blocker for Austrian club SVS Post Schwechat. She is a bronze medalist at the Women European Universities Volleyball Championship, as well as the Women Croatian League bronze medalist and Croatian Cup runner-up when was awarded the Best middle-blocker.

Lea Boban was born on February 7, 1998, in Rijeka, Croatia. She started playing volleyball in her home city for the team ZOK Rijeka and proved her talent.

Lea Boban made her professional debut in 2015, playing as a reserve for ZOK Rijeka in the Croatian League. During the season she was also called for the Croatia U19 national team to play at the European Championship Qualification U19 2016. Unfortunately during her first season, the team was relegated to the Croatian PRVA League. In her second season with the team, they won the Croatian PRVA League and returned to the elite division. Meanwhile, she was called for the Croatian U20 national team to play at the World Championship European Qualification U20 2017. In the 2017/2018 season, she earned the bronze at the Croatian League and finished 5th at the Croatian Cup. In the 2018/2019 season, the growth of the team continued and they earned the silver at the Croatian Cup, where Lea Boban was awarded the Best middle-blocker. The team also finished 4th in the Croatian League.

In 2018, she played at the Women European Universities Volleyball Championship 2018/2019 for the Sveuciliste u Rijeci, earning the bronze, but she was mostly a reserve.

In 2019, Lea Boban moved to Belgium and signed with Modal Charleroi Volley. For the only season she played with the club, she earned the bronze at the Belgian Cup and finished 6th at the Belgian Liga A.

Lea Boban moved to France in 2020, signing with the local elite club Stella Calais Volley Ball for one season. The team finished 10th in the French Elite. The next season she moved to another French team – Sens Olympique Club VB, where finished 7th in the French Elite.

In 2022, Lea Boban moved to Montenegro and signed with the local club OK Herceg Novi. During her only season with the club, she made a double, winning the Montenegrin League and the Montenegrin Cup in 2022/2023. She also played with the club at the Challenge Cup.

In 2023, Lea Boban signed with her current volleyball club SVS Post Schwechat to play at the Austrian League 2023/2024.
