Adelina Ungureanu is a Romanian volleyball player, a member of the Romania women’s national volleyball team, and Italian club Unionvolley Pinerolo. She competed at the 2019 Women’s European Volleyball Championship and at the 2021 Women’s European Volleyball Championship.
Adelina Ungureanu was born on July 29, 2000, in Botosani, Romania. She started playing volleyball at an early age and developed her skills in the local youth club. As a junior, she played for Romania’s U18 and U19 national teams in the European Championship Qualifications.
Adelina Ungureanu started her career in 2016 for UVT Agroland Timisoara to play in the Romanian League A2 West. The team won the promotion.
In 2017, she signed to Dinamo Bucuresti to play in Romanian League and Romanian Cup, remaining 7th and 9th respectively. She also played for the Romania U19 National team in the European Championship Qualification U19.
Adelina Ungureanu moved to CSM BucureČ™ti in 2018, which was the reigning Romanian champion. She joined the team and played in the Champions League, where finished 11th. During the season 2018/2019, CSM BucureČ™ti won the silver at the Romanian League and the bronze at the Romanian Cup. Adelina Ungureanu debuted for the senior Romanian women’s volleyball national team, playing at the European Championships 2019. However, the biggest achievement during the season with the national team was winning the European Silver League 2019.
In 2019, she signed with the Italian volleyball club Bosca San Bernardo Cuneo. The Italian Serie A1 2019/2020 season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, in the 2020/2021 season, the team with Adelina Ungureanu in the squad finished 9th in the Italian Serie A1 and 8th in the Italian Supercup. Internationally, the Romanian national team finished 7th at the European Golden League 2021 and played at the European Championships 2021.
Adelina Ungureanu signed with Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio in 2021. For the one season, in which she played with the club, they won the bronze at the Italian Cup and finished 5th in the Italian Serie A1. They also played at the CEV Cup. Adelina Ungureanu won the bronze at the European Golden League 2022 with the Romanian national team.
In 2022, Adelina Ungureanu signed with the newly promoted in Italian Serie A1 team Pallavolo Pinerolo. In the maiden season with the club, they finished 10th in the Italian Serie A1. She also played with the national team at the European Golden League 2023.
