Jenna Gray

Jenna Gray is an American professional volleyball player who plays for Gerdau/Minas in the Brazilian Superliga.

Jenna Gray was born on February 28, 1998, in Shawnee, Kansas. She started in volleyball and athletics as a kid and competed also in the javelin throw. Jenna Gray played volleyball throughout all four years while attending St James Academy High School. She helped her team win the Kansas State title in volleyball three times.

Jenna Gray attended Stanford University and built up a very successful college career. She helped the team to a 21-7 regular season record and an at-large invitation to the 2016 NCAA Division I women’s volleyball tournament, becoming a champion and Jenna Gray was named to the all-tournament team.

In her sophomore year, she again helped lead her team to the NCAA Division I women’s volleyball tournament, improving their regular season record to 26-3, but this time reached only the semi-finals.

As a junior, Jenna Gray helped her team to a 28-1 regular season record and the overall top seed in the NCAA Division 1 women’s volleyball tournament. Stanford advanced to the Final Four, where they won the National Championship for the 8th time in the school’s history. Jenna Gray was again named to the all-tournament team.

In her senior year, the Stanford team had a 24-4 regular season record and won their 9th National Championship and their third championship in 4 years. Once again, Jenna Gray was named to the all-tournament team.

She also won the Honda Sports Award as the nation’s best collegiate female volleyball player in 2019.

Jenna Gray was only the fourth player in program history to surpass 5,000 career assists, finishing her college career with a total of 5,485 assists. This number put her second in all-time career assists in the program. She was also third in school history in career aces with 136.

Jenna Gray made her professional debut in 2020, signing a two-year contract with Dresdner SC 1898 to play in the German Bundesliga. In her maiden season with the club, she won the German Bundesliga, was the runner-up at the German Supercup and won the bronze at the German Cup. The team also finished 5th in the CEV Cup. In the second season, the team won the German Supercup after finishing third in the German Bundesliga and second in the German Cup. They also played in the Champions League to finish on the 11th position.

In 2022, Jenna Gray moved to France and signed with RC Cannes. However, she remained only one season with the club and moved to Brazil to play for the Brazilian Cup winner and Mineiro champion Gerdau/Minas.
