Anthi Vasilantonaki

Anthi Vasilantonaki is a Greek female volleyball player for Galatasaray in the Turkish Volleyball League. Her main position is an Outside Hitter.

Anthi Vasilantonaki was born on April 9, 1996, in Athens, Greece. Her father is from Chania, and her mother is Dutch from Amsterdam. She started playing volleyball at an early age and showed great abilities ad talent at school.

Anthi Vasilantonaki started her professional career in 2010 at Enosi Vyrona at Greek A2 Etniki. She played for two seasons in the team.

In 2012, she moved to Panathinaikos at Greek A1 Etniki. She played for two seasons and was a key player for the club. In 2013/2014 the team finished third in the Greek A1 Etniki and reached the semi-finals of the Greek Cup.

In 2014, Anthi Vasilantonaki moved to Italy to play for the Imoco Volley Conegliano. In the gained season, the team finished fourth in the Italian Serie A1, third in the Italian Cup and 9th in the CEV Cup. In the next season 2015/2016, the Imoco Volley Conegliano won the Italian Serie A1 and was 5th in the Italian Cup.

Anthi Vasilantonaki signed with another Italian club in 2016 – Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio. The team became the runner-up in the CEV Cup, and finished 5th in the Italian Cup ad 7th in the Italian Serie A1.

In 2017, however, she moved to Igor Gorgonzola Novara. With the club, Anthi Vasilantonaki won the Italian Cup and the Italian Supercup, was the runner-up in the Italian Serie A1, and also was fifth in the Champions League.

After the very successful season, she again changed the team in Italy, signing with Lardini Filottrano. In season 2018/2019, the team finished 11th in Italian Serie A1.

After a successful career in Italy, in 2019, Anthi Vasilantonaki moved to Turkey to play for Galatasaray HDI Sigorta. However, the season was seriously disturbed by the coronavirus pandemic and she moved to Aydın Buyuksehir Belediyespor, where played in season 2020/2021. The team was not much successful and finished 9th in the Turkish Cup and 6th in Turkiye Kadınlar Voleybol Ligi.

In 2021, Anthi Vasilantonaki returned to Galatasaray HDI Sigorta again. The team finished 5th in the Turkish Cup and Turkiye Kadınlar Voleybol Ligi.
