Suelle Oliveira

Suelle Oliveira is a Brazilian volleyball player, who plays as an outside hitter in the Romanian volleyball club Rapid Bucuresti and the Brazilian national team. She is a two-time champion of the Brazilian Superliga and the South American Club Championship. With the national team, she won the Pan-American Cup in 2011 and won the bronze at the World Grand Prix in 2015.

Suelle Oliveira was born on April 29, 1987, in Curitiba, Parana. She started playing volleyball at school and later trained with the local youth team in Parana.

Suelle Oliveira started her professional career in 2002 in Rexona/Ades (current Sesc-RJ/Flamengo). In her aider season, the volleyball club ended as 3rd in the Brazilian Superliga and Salonpas Cup. In 2003/2004, Rexona/Ades repeated the achievement to be 3rd in the Brazilian Superliga.

In 2004, she signed with Sao Caetano-Mon Bijou. For the volleyball club, she played for three seasons and succeeded to win the silver (2006/2007) and bronze (2005/2006) at the Paulista Championship.

In 2007, Suelle Oliveira transferred to Finasa/Osasco. For the two seasons playing, the volleyball club won twice the Paulista Championship, as well as once South American Club Championship, Brazilian Cup, and Salonpas Cup.

In 2009, she signed with Brusque/Pomerode. After only one season for the club, however, she helped the team to win the Liga Nacional. The volleyball club finished 6th in Catarinense Championship and 8th in the Brazilian Superliga.

Suelle Oliveira returned to Parana to sign for Unilever Volei (ex Rexona/Ades and currently Sesc-RJ/Flamengo) in 2010. She played for the club for only one season, winning the Brazilian Superliga and Carioca Championship.

In 2011, Suelle Oliveira signed with Banana Boat/Praia Clube to win Mineiro Championship. The team finished 6th in Brazilian Superliga in season 2011/2012.

Suelle Oliveira moved to Sesi-SP in 2012. For the three seasons in the team, she won the South American Club Championship (2013/2014), twice was runner-up at the Brazilian Cup, and finished second (2013/2014) and third (2014/2015) in the Brazilian Superliga.

In 2015, Suelle Oliveira signed with Volei Nestle/Osasco. She played for only one season in the club, but helped them to win Paulista Championship, and finish third in Brazilian Cup.

In 2016, she signed a two-year contract with Volei Hinode Barueri to play in the lower-grade – Brazilian Superliga B. However, she helped the team to win promotion to the Brazilian Superliga after finishing first and also winning the Taca Prata trophy. In Season 2017/2018, the team finished second in the Paulista Championship and 5th in the Brazilian Superliga and Brazilian Cup.

Suelle Oliveira left the Brazilian championships in 2018. She signed with the Japanese team Victorina Himeji. She helped the team to gain promotion to Japan V.League Division 1, after finishing first in Japan V.League Division 2. The team also was 9th in Empress’ Cup All Japan Championship and 13th in Kurowashiki Tournament.

In 2020, Suelle Oliveira returned to Brazil and signed with Sesi Volei Bauru for two years. In her maiden season, the team finished 3rd in Brazilian Cup, 4th in the Brazilian Superliga, and 2nd in Paulista Championship, as well as 5th in Trofeu Super Volei. In the 2021/2022 season, however, she helped the team to reach the 3rd position at the South American Club Championship. The team won the Brazilian Cup and was 3rd in the Brazilian Superliga and Paulista Championship.

In 2022, Suelle Oliveira left Brazil again and joined the Romanian club Rapid Bucuresti, where is currently playing.

At the international level, Suelle Oliveira was part of the Brazilian national team. As a youth, she won the gold at the 2005 Women’s World Championships U20 and the 2004 South American Championship U20. As a senior player, she won the bronze at the 2015 Women’s World Grand Prix, as well as gold (2011), silver (2008), and bronze (2005) at the Women’s Pan American Cup. She was also part of the team to win the World Military Championship in 2014.
